MORE CUMBIA – MACONDO – 1/2

$105.00

Created by Macondo Herald, “More Cumbia” is a high-energy graphic anthem honoring the irresistible, syncopated pulse that unites the continent. Channeling the spirit of sound system culture, vinyl digging, and late-night dance floors, the artwork marries bold, vintage display typography with unmistakable musical swagger. It serves as an unapologetic rallying cry for the groove that crossed rivers and borders—a celebration of cumbia not merely as a genre, but as a living, breathing cultural lifeline.

As part of the exclusive 2022 series by Macondo Herald, this piece comes directly from our permanent archive and will never be reprinted, establishing it as an irreplaceable collector’s item of modern Latin American print history.

Measuring 50 × 70 cm, this poster is a handcrafted linocut engraving meticulously carved and prepared by our master printers. It is printed on 150-gram Earth Pact paper, a sustainable substrate made from sugarcane fiber without tree felling or harsh bleaching chemicals. This eco-friendly material provides a rich, tactile tooth and organic warmth that enhances the deep inks and crisp lines of the relief composition.

Brought to life on our historic 1870 Marinoni and 1890 Reliance presses, every print is an authentic piece of letterpress history pulled entirely by hand in our Cali workshop. The manual, century-old presswork creates subtle, organic variations in ink transfer and impression depth, ensuring that each individual copy stands as a one-of-a-kind work of art.
