Fiesta Popular 1 – Limited Edition Letterpress Poster

The Opening Spark of Community Celebration

Completing the iconic triptych dedicated to the rhythm of the barrio, “Fiesta Popular 1” marks the initial spark where music, movement, and community converge. Scaled in an intimate mid-format, the piece harnesses dynamic linocut engraving to channel the raw energy of Latin American street parties—celebrating the percussion, the shared laughter, and the cultural heartbeat that turns public squares into open-air dance halls.

Printed on fine 100% cotton watercolor (acuarela) paper, this premium archival substrate was selected for its substantial weight, soft texture, and enduring fine-art quality. The cotton fibers drink in the relief inks with extraordinary saturation, enhancing every sharp contrast and carved contour.

Brought to life on our historic 1870 Marinoni and 1890 Reliance presses, each print is an authentic piece of letterpress heritage pulled by hand in our Cali workshop. The manual, century-old presswork imparts subtle, organic variations in ink pressure and tonal depth to every copy, making each print a distinct, one-of-a-kind artifact of Latin American graphic art.
