This poster is part of a four-piece collectible series created in collaboration with the Feria de Cali. It serves as the sequel to the poster we produced last year alongside the La Linterna workshop. While our first collaboration spoke to Cali’s neighborhoods in a general sense, this new edition dives deep into the heart of Barrio Obrero, exploring the lived experiences that define salsa culture and the “Cali of old.”

We drew inspiration from the carnival-like energy that fills the streets during the final months of the year, as well as the world of vinyl and salsa collecting—incorporating references to two legendary albums that we hope the public will recognize.

The poster also evokes the voice of the great Piper Pimienta, the legendary vocalist from Puerto Tejada, and that unique universe only understood through the lens of caleñidad: cultural diversity, music, and the city’s festive spirit.

In its design, the typography pays homage to the La Linterna workshop, blending traditional movable type with experimental forms. The color palette—deep blues and vibrant oranges with tropical contrasts—perfectly captures the visual essence of the Cali we inhabit.
