SIEMBRA, COSECHA, DISTRIBUYE – PLIEGO

The trades of the countryside have always provided the opportunity to generate self-sustaining resources, supporting the development of local territories. Over time, these trades have transformed into tradition and ancestral knowledge. Unfortunately, more than 60% of farmers in our country live in precarious conditions or lack the technology to improve production. Furthermore, the use of genetically modified seeds aggravates their situation and puts their traditions at risk.

This artwork highlights the beautiful labor of resistance and endurance shown by our peoples, our guardians, and all those who work the land—those who rise early every day to bring food to our tables. Recognizing and valuing the efforts of those who work the land is of vital importance.

Engraving Process: Three Layers of Color The artwork was created from three layers of color based on photographs taken in different locations:
